First Time Guests

We want your visit to Emmanuel to be uncomplicated.  We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you with open arms.  We are real people with real problems, who depend on the Lord to help us through them just like you!   We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns. Below are some frequently asked questions that will give you an idea of what to expect from your visit.  If you don't see an answer to your question here or on any of the ministry pages, please contact us at 901.872.6695.  We would love to assist you in preparation for your visit.

How are visitors treated?
We want you to have a wonderful experience at Emmanuel and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.

Where are you located?
Our address is 8641 Greenhill Road, Millington, TN 38053.  We are located approximately one city block from Wal-Mart (intersection of Wilkinsville Rd & Hwy 51). At Wal-Mart turn left, at West Union turn left, at Greenhill Road turn left again and “you are there.”

What should I wear?
Dress comfortably.  We are more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear.  While some people do choose to wear their "Sunday's best", most people wear casual clothing.

What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in the preaching of the gospel and devotional services.  If you have a Bible, bring it with you.  If you do not have a Bible, we provide them in the pew backs for your use.

When do I need to arrive?

Sunday School classes meet at 9:30am.  Sunday morning services begin promptly at 11:00 am.  Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and making yourself comfortable in the sanctuary.

Is the church accessible to the physically disabled?
Yes, a ramp is provided for wheelchair use and a special area is provided for those who need to come and go quickly.  Also, a special personal usher will be provided for any care that may
be needed.

What are the worship services like?
The 11:00 am worship service is lively and upbeat and features the music ministry of the Emmanuel Perfected Sanctuary Choir.  Sometimes the special sounds of worship ministry team “Praise Report” and the Emmanuel Male Chorus bring another type of flavor and joy to the service.  All of this and more is designed to enhance your worship experience...
